Chapter 199: Academy Again (Part-3)

A split second. That’s how much time I have to decide what to do about the blinding light erupting around me. I can feel it in my bones that the spell Ilyrana has conjured is dangerous— maybe even lethal.

It’s so sudden that nobody around can help me either, not even Leena. Only I can help myself. And for that, there are only two options in my arsenal that are powerful enough to go against stronger opponents: Chaos ball and Unknown skill 01.

[Chaos ball is not a defensive spell! Use the unknown skill and dodge quickly! Ilyrana’s spell will bake you alive!]

Fuck!

I immediately start activating the unknown skill. But just as I am about to say the command in my mind, the bright light starts to dim. And it keeps dimming until it disappears completely.

Did Ilyrana cancel her spell?

The sudden appearance and disappearance of the light make it feel like a flash to my eyes. So, it takes a moment for my vision to return to normal.

And once it does, what I see is someone huge standing directly in front of me— tall and… curvy.

Woah…

This is the biggest elven woman I’ve seen. She is more than a foot taller than me. And I am only seeing her from the back, but she’s also one of the few elven women among those I’ve seen that aren’t exactly fit.

What I mean to say is that to me, she defines the word ‘voluptuous’.

And it’s not to say that the other Elven women I have seen aren’t shapely. In fact, many of them have great figures, but their tummies are usually with little to no fat. With this woman, though, I can see her sexy side handles right above her plump ass.

“What is going on here?” She asks, her voice powerful, slightly deep, and booming.

I move to the side to have a proper view around.

Holy shit…

Whatever spell Ilyrana had cast, it had caused a long crater to form on the ground— starting from where she’s standing to right in front of the tall woman.

Now that I can see the woman’s face, it isn’t as pudgy as I expected. It’s quite pretty and mature, in fact. Straight black hair tied up in a bun, burgundy eyes, black lipstick, all along with beautiful Elven features.

But just looking at her, I know she isn’t someone to be messed around with. The aura she’s carrying is screaming power and authority.

Hmm… she doesn’t seem like a student. Who is she?

And… wait.

I look over to where Leena was sitting. Her chair has toppled, and she’s fallen to the ground in an embarrassing position. Though before anyone else could notice, she quickly stands up and straightens her dress, acting as if the spell did not affect her.

And as for the person responsible for all of this? Well, Ilyrana is just staring at the tall woman, her hand outstretched.

“That’s… that’s… How is she here!?”

“No way, she rarely shows up anywhere!”

“I can’t remember the last time I saw her!”

Everyone in the crowd surrounding the platform looks absolutely shocked to see the tall woman. Their voices are also much quieter now and filled with fear.

Just who is she?

“Lower your hand. Or do you want me to make you?” The tall woman sternly commands Ilyrana, and it also indirectly quiets down the crowd completely.

Ilyrana slowly lowers her hand, shooting a threatening glare in my direction.

“Answer me, what is going on?” The woman repeats. “What made you use such a spell?”

“He… he provoked me, Dean Morcyne,” Ilyrana says, still not removing her eyes from me.

…

Shit… this is the dean of the academy!? This whole thing is getting bigger than I wanted.

“That’s your excuse?” Dean Morcyne asks in a dangerous voice.

“But he said things about my mother—“

“It doesn’t matter what he said! He is a human, who is also the guest of our academy and this country, and you decided to respond to his mere words with such!?

“Outrageous! You are our top student! You ought to know what that spell could’ve done if it had hit him, right!?”

Ilyrana finally looks down, a bit ashamed.

“Answer me, Ilyrana Grimsevel!” Dean Morcyne barks.

Everyone, including me, jumps with fright at the sudden and scary shout.

“It-It would have killed him,” Ilyrana answers meekly.

“Not just killed. With his low level, it would’ve disintegrated him where he stood,” Dean Morcyne corrects her angrily. “How dare you use such a lethal spell!?”

“I just lost control of my emotions…”

… it would’ve disintegrated me!?

A chill runs down my back just hearing this. If the dean hadn’t protected me and I failed to dodge, that spell would’ve converted me to dust by now.

“I am mad at you, Ilyrana. Should I also lose control and attack you!?” Dean Morcyne grills her. “Let’s see if you can defend against one of my spells, shall we?”

“No, I can’t, Dean Morcyne… I am sorry.” Ilyrana apologizes, getting smaller.

I know this is the dean of the academy and everything, but it’s still shocking to see a princess being talked to like this. No matter the mistake she has made, her mother is literally the ruler of everyone and everything here.

But for her to still be so docile and accept her mistake? I guess there must be laws that strip her of her position as the princess while in the academy. That’s the only explanation.

“Just an apology won’t do. You have broken some of the academy’s most stringent rules,” Dean Morcyne says rigidly. “You initiated a duel with a guest without his approval. You used a life-threatening spell on him. And most importantly, you disgraced your position as the holder of the first golden badge.”

“And this demands that you receive the harshest punishment possible.”

The silent crowd finally gasps at this. Even Ilyrana, who was simply looking ashamed for her actions before, is now staring at the dean with a shocked face.

“Please reconsider! I will do anything as an apology!” Ilyrana bows down and pleads with her fists clenched.

I never thought I would see the calm, aloof, and ever-so-graceful Ilyrana like this.

“You should’ve thought of that before losing control. Even I am having a hard time believing that I have to say this to you of all people,” Dean Morcyne says, finally lowering her voice and shaking her head in disappointment.

“Please, Dean… I am sorry! Just anything else, please!”

“Ilyrana Grimsevel, you have earned a strike!”
